Job Description:

Join our esteemed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel contract that offers a rewarding opportunity to work with critically ill children across a range of diagnoses. This role involves performing specialized nursing duties in a busy, high-acuity environment with a team of intensivists, APPs, and residents present around the clock. You’ll be responsible for managing patients requiring advanced ventilator support, monitoring rhythm changes on bedside Phillips monitors, and collaborating with a skilled team to provide top-tier care. This assignment offers a well-structured schedule with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend, and the possibility of working one significant and one insignificant holiday depending on staffing needs. The unit emphasizes compassionate, child-friendly care, with all necessary certifications such as BLS and PALS in place, and familiarity with ICU-specific equipment like Avia, Servo U, Trilogy, and LTV ventilators.
