Job Description:

Join a reputable healthcare facility in Northridge as a Speech Therapist for a 13-week contract working primarily with outpatient and inpatient therapy services. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Expect to manage a varied caseload that includes stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma, and cognitive impairments, with an emphasis on bedside and video swallowing studies. Your daily routine will involve collaborative work with rehab aides, assisting patients through personalized therapy plans, and possibly floating between areas as needed. A detailed orientation focusing on the department’s specific protocols and Cerner Powerchart training will prepare you for success. This assignment offers the chance to apply your expertise in a supportive setting while experiencing diverse cases and patient interactions.
