Job Description:

Join our healthcare team as a talented Occupational Therapist in Monterey, California, for a 13-week contract that bridges inpatient and skilled nursing settings. This role offers the chance to work in a NICOTINE-FREE environment, with all drug reports requiring a negative result for nicotine or cotinine, except when prescribed nicotine patches. Your day will involve providing high-quality occupational therapy services to diverse patient populations, including those recovering from neurological injuries in the acute unit and elderly patients in the SNF. The schedule features 10-hour days, four days a week, with two weekends per month, giving you ample time to enjoy the local scene when not working. Expect to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply evidence-based techniques, and help improve patients' functional independence through innovative therapy approaches. The setting provides an engaging mix of challenging cases and rewarding patient progress, all within a supportive hospital environment.
