Job Description:

Join our team as a CVICU RN in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week contract that offers a chance to work with advanced cardiac patients in a stimulating ICU setting. You’ll be responsible for managing post-operative open-heart surgery patients, including those with CABG, valves, and vascular procedures. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, providing critical care for ventilated patients with complex devices like IABPs, Impellas, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ECMO. Your expertise will support a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of cardiovascular interventions, requiring quick assessment, critical thinking, and precise titration of multiple drips. This assignment is perfect for experienced CVICU nurses who thrive on staying sharp and working independently, with minimal hand-holding, in a specialized cardiac ICU.
