Job Description:

This travel phlebotomy contract in Rochester offers the opportunity to collect high-quality blood specimens from patients of all ages using capillary, venous, assisted line, and arterial collection methods. You will work across general patient care areas, pediatrics, the Emergency Department, intensive care units, and operating rooms while maintaining accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, handling, transportation, and point-of-care testing procedures. The night schedule runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with an every-other-weekend rotation and possible holiday coverage. The role also includes rapid response to medical emergencies, use of multiple computer systems, patient interaction, and support for training students and new employees. Be prepared to push a cart and cover considerable walking distances throughout the assignment.
