Job Description:

Join a mixed-acuity Progressive Care Unit as a travel Registered Nurse caring for PCU, medical-surgical telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. This assignment includes surgical pre- and post-operative care, trauma and orthopedic surgery, ENT, general surgery, and overflow medical diagnoses. You will monitor telemetry, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, care for central lines and feeding tubes, administer blood products, manage insulin and heparin protocols, support patients requiring high-flow oxygen or non-invasive airway management, and care for complex conditions including renal failure, CVA, seizures, and chest tubes. The night shift follows a 3x12-hour schedule, with patient assignments adjusted by acuity and opportunities to float to corresponding sister units when needed. EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR are used throughout the assignment.
