Job Description:

Join our team as an ICU nurse on a 13-week night shift contract at a facility in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves caring for ventilated, sedated, and critically ill patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, wound care, IV antibiotics, and cardiac conditions. You'll be administering and titrating a variety of drips including vasopressors, sedatives, and pain management medications. The unit supports primary care in a high-acuity ICU setting with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:2-3, and expects you to be proficient in PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline management, and tracheostomy care. You will work in a fast-paced environment where the focus is on critical patient monitoring and support, with in-house RTs available 24/7 and Phillips telemetry monitors in each room. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to refine your ICU skills, especially in advanced drips and ventilator management, while working alongside a dedicated medical team. The schedule is 12-hour nights, with weekend and holiday rotations, and opportunities to float to other units.
