Job Description:

This upbeat PACU RN role at Los Alamos Medical Center offers the chance to work on a dedicated third-floor unit that primarily handles adult patients, with occasional ENT cases. You’ll be focusing on short-term recovery for patients after procedures like appendectomies and gallbladder removals, providing vigilant post-anesthesia care in a calm, organized setting. The schedule features 8-hour day shifts with some on-call responsibilities during nights and weekends, giving you a steady work rhythm with opportunities for flexibility. Your responsibilities will include managing patient recovery, ensuring safety, and coordinating with the team to facilitate smooth patient transitions. Prior PACU experience is essential, and familiarity with preoperative processes enhances your ability to excel in this role. The shared position involves minimal floating, keeping your focus on adult PACU and pre-op care.
