Job Description:

Join a cardiac stepdown unit in Albany, GA, where you'll be responsible for caring for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, managing drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, interpreting telemetry strips, and assisting with complex cardiac cases. This role offers the chance to work with a team in a fast-paced environment that values adaptability, with floating to ICU for experienced staff. The unit's lively pace means you'll regularly discharge and admit a mix of cardiac patients, including post-op CABG, pacemaker placements, and CHF cases. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts for 17 weeks, with a focus on delivering precise, compassionate care in a small but dynamic unit. The assignment's unique blend of acute cardiac skills and team collaboration makes it a rewarding challenge for experienced stepdown nurses.
