Job Description:

Join a vibrant ICU team at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for a 13-week travel contract. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts in a 16-bed unit where you'll perform advanced procedures such as central line and arterial line insertions, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and EVD insertions. The focus is on providing attentive and compassionate care to critically ill patients who often require high-level interventions using ventilators, EVDs, and CRRT devices. The environment is fast-paced, with staffing that includes occasional nurse externs, unit secretaries during daytime hours, and the use of Meditech for documentation. You’ll experience a mix of acuity levels, with patient ratios fluctuating between 1:1 and 3:1, depending on patient needs. Since the schedule is arranged in 4-week blocks with some self-scheduling and manager adjustments, you’ll have opportunities to balance your work hours with your personal life while contributing to a dynamic team that values expertise and dedication.
