Job Description:

This role involves working in the cardiac care unit of a busy hospital, focusing on pre and post-cath lab procedures, EP procedures, and recovery from cardiac surgeries. You'll be responsible for managing a variety of cardiac patients, including those recovering from TAVR and LAAO procedures. The shift is 12 hours during daytime hours (6:00 a.m. to approximately 6:30 p.m.), offering a consistent schedule with every other weekend and holiday coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience in EP labs, cardioversion, arterial line management, and interpreting 12-lead EKGs. You'll perform tasks like starting IVs, managing cardiac drips, and assisting with patient recovery post-procedure, all while ensuring timely documentation in EPIC and CUPID systems. This assignment offers a great opportunity to work in a teaching hospital environment, with the chance to float between units and gain diverse clinical exposure. Staying sharp on tele interpretation and EKG interpretation is vital for success in this role.
