Job Description:

Join a specialized oncology unit requiring experienced healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care on the 7th floor and outpatient settings. You'll work 12-hour day shifts in a unit with 29 beds, focusing on patients with acute oncology symptoms such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crises, hematology issues, and end-of-life care. Your role may include assisting with chemo treatments in the outpatient area and occasionally floating to medical acute. Expect a fast-paced environment where thorough documentation using Meditech EMR and collaboration with a charge nurse are essential. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work within a close-knit team, providing bedside support for complex cases and participating in a floor-specific orientation to ensure you're well-prepared. Travelers must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty, and certifications such as BLS and NIHSS or ONS are preferred for chemo areas. You'll provide coverage every other weekend and rotate on holidays with staff. The scrub color for this assignment is Caribbean Blue.
