Job Description:

This contract role is for experienced Medical Orthopedic MS RNs seeking a 13-week assignment at Deaconess Gateway. You will work 12-hour night shifts, primarily on a medical-surgical unit that handles a diverse patient population, including trauma level II cases, post-surgical recovery, and various chronic conditions. The role involves managing IV therapies, wound care, assessment, and documentation in EPIC. Float requirements include coverage within the main campus and potentially to a nearby campus with a short notice, providing variety and a bit of an adventure. Expect to work three weekends every six weeks and every other holiday, with set hours of 36 per week, although there is flexibility for additional hours upon request. This position offers a chance to join a team led by new leadership focused on cooperation and skill development, ideal for resilient nurses comfortable with change and supporting students and new hires.
