Job Description:

Join a vibrant and fast-paced cardiac step-down unit in Bossier City, LA, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care. This 13-week contract offers an opportunity to work with complex cases such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and post-heart cath patients. You'll be responsible for managing patient loads of up to three and performing a range of skilled interventions, including CVL management, tube feedings, arterial lines, and drip titrations like Levophed and Insulin. You'll coordinate care alongside support staff such as resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and others, ensuring efficient patient outcomes. The role includes working 12-hour night shifts, with a flexible schedule that may involve working weekends and rotating days off, providing a dynamic but structured environment suitable for experienced travelers. This assignment suits RN professionals with at least two years of recent acute care experience, especially those comfortable passing an EKG competency exam prior to start. No call duties are required, but professionalism and adherence to hospital policies are essential to thrive here.
