Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week travel contract in Shreveport, LA. This role involves caring for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, strokes, respiratory failure, and other complex conditions requiring close monitoring and interventions. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, with a schedule of four days one week and three days the next, including every other weekend. The assignment offers a chance to enhance your skills in cardiac and medical stepdown care, using Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris pumps. Be prepared to pass an EKG competency exam and bring your advanced skills in titrating cardiac and vasopressor medications. This is a great opportunity for experienced PCU RNs eager to immerse themselves in a supportive, traveler-friendly environment with a mix of patient types and a focus on patient safety and quality care.
