Job Description:

This Step Down Registered Nurse role offers a chance to work on a dedicated step-down unit within an acute care hospital setting. You'll focus on managing patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions, including titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips. The night shift runs 3 days a week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a consistent schedule for those comfortable with nocturnal hours. This position requires hands-on bedside experience in vent management, external pacemakers, trach vents, and chest tubes—making it ideal for nurses with at least 2 years of recent relevant experience. First-timers with acute care experience are welcome, provided they meet all certification and skill requirements. Expect a supportive environment that values clinical expertise and quick thinking, with opportunities to float across lower acuity floors when needed.
