Job Description:

Step into a 12-hour day travel contract as a Med/Tele RN in Bismarck, North Dakota—an assignment built around tele/cardiac monitoring with PCU-level skills. You’ll care for adults and geriatrics across a mix of cardiac-focused cases including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and pacing/arrhythmia management, plus common medical diagnoses such as pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis, and patients requiring respiratory support like BiPAP. This unit also serves as overflow for PCU-level care, so your experience in PCU pacing/tele rhythms and interpretation matters.

Your day includes reading and interpreting your own strips, managing tele-based titratable drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, nitro/nipride, and diuretic therapy (plus low-dose dopamine as needed). Epic is preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome. Expect 32-bed unit workflows with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (with occasional 5–6 on nights), supported by charge nursing on each shift (often a light load of 2–3 when appropriate). Orientation is structured with two 12-hour shifts (Friday and Saturday), followed by working independently by the Sunday after orientation.
