Job Description:

Join a Cardiac/Tele Stepdown unit in Bridgeport, West Virginia as a travel RN supporting adult patients with cardiac-focused conditions. This role centers on telemetry-based monitoring work, post-procedure recovery care for common cardiac diagnoses, and managing titratable cardiac drips with precision. Nights run on a 12-hour schedule, and you’ll be expected to read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors.

You’ll work with a Charge Nurse available 24/7; daytime charge nurses do not take assignments, while nights charge nurses do. Respiratory support includes CPAP and BiPAP, with RT managing respiratory equipment. CNA support is available (ideally about 1 CNA/12 patients), with typical coverage of 3 on days and 2 on nights.

Must-haves include BLS and ACLS, plus the ability to titrate drips. Common drips include occasional cardiac gtts with titration such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro (up to 50 mcg). First-time travelers are welcome.

Expect a mix of crisp and comfortable days with cooler evenings. Conditions can change throughout the week, so layers are helpful, especially when temperatures dip at night.
