Job Description:

Join a travel contract as a Registered Nurse supporting Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care within a secure corrections health unit in Columbus, Ohio. This role is designed for an MS/Tele RN who can confidently float across oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units as staffing needs shift, while maintaining a safe, structured approach in a locked, access-controlled environment.

You’ll work night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (19:00–07:30). While the assignment is primarily nights, some contracts may rotate to days depending on departmental needs, with shift reviews occurring every four-week scheduling period.

What makes this assignment unique is the blend of oncology-focused MS/Telemetry work and the corrections unit setting, including coordination with Corrections Officers (CO) for access-controlled operations. Epic charting experience is required, and oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Core responsibilities include providing MS/Tele support, performing telemetry monitoring and emergency response as needed, following oncology-related workflows, and adapting to a unit that includes both MS and PCU assignments at different times.

Expect a mix of cool-to-mild days with occasional rain and brisk evenings. Humidity can rise at times, and temperatures often feel comfortable during the daytime with colder windier stretches later in the day.
