Job Description:

Work as an ER Registered Nurse on a travel contract in Lansing, Michigan, supporting a Level I Trauma Center with a busy mix that includes stroke and heart center coverage, plus the Pediatric Emergency Department. This assignment runs on a 3x12-hour day schedule (07:00–19:30), totaling 36 hours per week. You’ll manage a fast-paced, high-acuity flow that can involve 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratios, with potential for up to 8 depending on patient volume and holidays.

You must have Level I trauma experience and at least 2 years of ER experience. Responsibilities include assessment and management of dysrhythmias, interpreting and acting on patient needs in real time, and completing documentation using EPIC charting. The unit may float to peds as needed, so flexibility is important.

Weekend coverage is required: 3 weekends (Fri–Sun) per 4-week schedule, which may include 1 day of the weekend, 2 days, or all 3 days. No call. If you’re offered the role, RTO must be submitted at the time of submission, and no additional RTO will be approved later. No RTO is allowed for July.
