Job Description:

Step into a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel role at a state-of-the-art level III program in Seattle, WA. This is a NICU Registered Nurse position supporting a regional referral center for high-risk infants, where your day-to-day work centers on providing specialized care for very low birth weight preemies who require ventilatory support.

You’ll work a 12-hour day schedule (4x12 preferred, 3x12 considered) with variable weekend needs—plan on 2 weekend shifts per month. The unit is teaching-focused, so experience in a teaching hospital setting is valued. Charting is completed in Epic, and floating is limited to Mother/Baby to care for babies only. First-timers are not accepted, and pending license status isn’t available.

Weather in Seattle is often mild with plenty of opportunities for fresh air and occasional rain—perfect for bringing layers and staying cozy between shifts.

Weather:

Expect cool, comfortable days with frequent overcast skies and occasional rain. Even when the weather shifts, temperatures generally stay mild enough for easy layering.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Seattle: Pike Place Market stroll for local bites and views
  • Seattle: Space Needle and Seattle Center photos with skyline overlooks
  • Day Trip: Snoqualmie Falls for a scenic waterfall stop
  • Day Trip: Bainbridge Island ferry ride with waterfront walking paths
  • Seattle: Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) for a fun, hands-on afternoon
