Job Description:

Join a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital in Albuquerque as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse on a travel contract. This role follows a day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, designed around a 36-hour workweek. You’ll support a busy L&D unit by circulating and applying FHM skills, with hands-on experience tied to postpartum care activities such as postpartum 3s/4s, baby nurse support, and involvement with meconium deliveries.

Expect a wide range of L&D procedures and responsibilities, including external and internal monitoring, AROM, medically assisted deliveries, cerclage, version, C/S, PPTL, and more. The assignment may include floating within scope to antepartum and postpartum as needed, with block scheduling not guaranteed.

This contract is a great fit for a first-timer travel RN who’s comfortable in a large L&D facility and ready for structured day shifts with consistent weekly hours. NRP must be in hand for smooth onboarding; if it’s not submitted at the time of application, scheduling an NRP class may be difficult due to high volume. NM licensure may be pending at submission.

Expect pleasant, generally dry weather with plenty of sunshine and cooler evenings. Days are typically mild, making it comfortable to be out and about between shifts.
