Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced emergency department travel contract where every night brings new challenges and purposeful momentum. This role supports a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and STEMI-focused ED, with a pediatric ED located inside the same unit. You’ll float between the ED and ED Observation areas (50% holidays and every other weekend), while a dedicated psych component is associated with the ED but you will not be expected to float to it. The shift structure is three 12-hour nights, with rotating and holiday coverage required, including work during inclement weather.

The position is ideal for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse who can thrive in a very active role—frequent ambulation, reaching, and lifting/moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. You will need ACLS and PALS, and CPI is preferred. Two years of experience is required, and first-time travelers will be considered with Level I trauma experience. No local candidates within 50 miles.

Weather:

Expect a mix of cool to chilly conditions with occasional windy periods and fluctuating precipitation. Evenings can feel much colder, so layers are helpful for getting around after long shifts.
