Job Description:

Step into the fast-paced energy of an Adult Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse (ER) providing skilled nighttime coverage for a 13-week travel contract in Rochester, New York. This role runs on a 3x12 night schedule (19:00–07:00) with every-other weekends, charting in EPIC (EPIC experience required), and opportunities to support a variety of emergency presentations—especially neuro and vascular cases.

You’ll use your emergency nursing toolkit across triage and isolation precautions, IV therapy (including blood product administration, central line care, and starting/maintaining IVs), and IV vasopressors. The position also requires comfort with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management, along with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Experience with stroke (CVA), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI is essential, as is readiness for adult/pediatric ED care, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma, and pediatric spinal cord injury.

Float within your skillset as needed, work with specialized equipment (including rapid infuser and safe patient handling tools), and help keep throughput moving in a centralized emergency setting—where nights bring a steady rhythm and real impact.
