Job Description:

Join an Emergency Department travel nursing assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana, supporting fast-paced care across a 43-bed unit. This role centers on working 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week) while using EPIC charting to document and coordinate your work within a collaborative team model. The assignment is built around timely, hands-on emergency workflows, including a broad mix of medical complaints and some trauma.

What makes this placement unique is the ED’s strong partnership with local law enforcement and behavioral health teams, plus an enclosed behavioral health unit within the department staffed by nurses and trained techs. You’ll also be part of a care culture that balances experienced clinicians with newer team members, working closely with physicians in a family-like atmosphere.

You’ll need a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, a current Indiana RN license, and AHA certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (as required). Orientation is mandatory for all 7 days: 8 hours (non-billable) during week 1 and 8 hours during week 2 with Mon–Fri for week 1 and Mon–Tues for week 2.

Expect typical Midwestern conditions with cool evenings and comfortable daytime temperatures, along with the possibility of light rain and changing cloud cover. Days are generally pleasant, but bring layers for temperature swings.
