Job Description:

Join a travel physical therapist role supporting an inpatient-acute setting in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. You’ll evaluate and assess referred patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services as defined in those plans. The work is built around collaboration with medical staff, case management, social work, and adjusters, helping ensure each plan stays aligned with the care goals for the stay.

This assignment emphasizes thoughtful clinical problem-solving, with room for professional judgment and creativity while you follow established inpatient-acute practices and procedures. You may also supervise physical therapy assistants and aides and perform additional related duties as assigned. If you enjoy hands-on inpatient-acute work and want a structured, team-focused contract, this is a great match.

Outside of your day-to-day clinical responsibilities, you’ll work within a shift schedule designed for consistent coverage across the week—show up, assess, treat, and adjust the plan as the patient’s needs evolve (and yes, you’ll keep your game face on—because inpatient-acute moves fast).

Weather:

Expect cool, changeable conditions with a mix of dry and occasionally damp days. Mornings can feel crisp, afternoons can be milder, and outdoor plans are best with a light layer for temperature swings.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Lake Coeur d'Alene boat cruise
  • Coeur d'Alene Resort & Marina walk along the waterfront
  • Spokane Valley day trip to explore Riverfront Park
  • Sandpoint day trip for Schweitzer Mountain scenery
  • Downtown Coeur d'Alene local shops and eateries stroll
