Job Description:

Join a reputable acute care hospital in the vibrant city of New Orleans as a Physical Therapist in the Burn Unit. This role offers the unique experience of working with burn patients ranging from minor to severe injuries, including some with up to 100% TBSA burns. Your focus will be on helping patients regain mobility, manage pain, and prevent contractures and scarring through targeted therapy and proper positioning. You will also have the chance to assist with outpatient evaluations and therapies when time permits. The schedule involves four 10-hour daytime shifts weekly, primarily working weekends and selecting weekdays. Expect to float between patients and handle a busy caseload that varies between two and eight patients daily, especially during cooler months. Be prepared for a combination of intense hands-on work and collaborative patient management in a fast-paced environment that values your adaptability and expertise.
