Job Description:

Take the night shift and help power a fast-paced Medical-Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU schedule in Wausau, Wisconsin. This travel healthcare contract is ideal for an RN with solid MedSurg and ICU experience who also has strong neuro background—especially if you’re comfortable managing cerebral monitoring and complex ICU therapies during overnight hours.

You’ll work 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 48 hours/week guaranteed, plus a structured option for up to 36 hours/week of low census unbillable time that may be scheduled in 4-hour increments (or sometimes 8 hours), when the unit has fewer patients. You may float between MS ICU and Neuro ICU units, with possible occasional float to other critical care or inpatient areas as needed. Every other weekend and holiday rotation is part of the schedule.

Typical work includes stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, ventilator support, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JP care, and some CRRT patients—so your day is as varied as the cases.
