Job Description:

Join an ICU Registered Nurse contract in the greater Portland area, with facility needs that may include floating based on unit demand. This role is structured for 12-hour nights and follows a 36-hour work week (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00). You’ll be positioned to float between ICU and MS as staffing requires—especially if ICU census drops, or if support is needed on the med-surg side.

What makes this assignment unique: you’ll be working a current caregiver’s schedule while they’re out on maternity leave, helping ensure continuity. Floating is common and can extend across multiple nearby facilities, so having flexibility and readiness to adapt quickly to different unit needs is essential. Charting is done in Epic.

Weather:

Expect mild, often overcast conditions with a mix of dry stretches and occasional light rain. Evenings can feel cool, so dressing in layers is helpful.
