Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced Emergency Department travel role in Wausau, Wisconsin, supporting a Level II trauma program with a broad mix of cases across stroke, cardiac, neuro, and pediatric needs—plus the day-to-day rhythm of a busy ED workflow. This contract is built around 12-hour night shifts, with variable scheduling that keeps you moving, learning, and staying sharp throughout each rotation.

You’ll work within a modern charting setup using Epic and collaborate in an environment where in-house resources support timely care delivery (including lab services, respiratory support, and on-site imaging). The assignment also includes possible floating within a defined 50-mile radius to nearby locations such as Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley.

Expect every other weekend and every other holiday, along with call requirements that may include low-census coverage where travelers can be placed on call during guaranteed weekly hours. If you’re called back, call back pay applies. For this role, you’ll bring 5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year of travel experience, plus Trauma Level II experience and required certifications to meet clinical standards.
