Job Description:

Join a fast-paced critical care team in Duluth, Minnesota as a Critical Care RN on a travel contract built around 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks. You will work in critical care units and may float between critical care specialties, with occasional movement to lower acuity units based on census and unit needs. The schedule includes variable rotation and weekend/holiday coverage (2 out of 4 weekends and every other holiday), with possible low census call—plus a minimum 2-hour call back window.

In this role, you’ll focus on assessment and recognizing deviations from normal, documenting and communicating status changes to the appropriate team members. You’ll support care planning by identifying patient and family expectations and educational needs, initiating discharge planning, and ensuring follow-up is handled correctly. You’ll also oversee care pathways related to stroke and/or cardiac patients, including core measures when not contraindicated, and report concerns promptly. Charting is done in Epic, and the position benefits from nurses who can manage independently, adapt to changing assignments, and keep tasks moving efficiently.
