Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced ED environment as an RN on a 13-week travel contract in Charlotte, where your days revolve around rapid assessment, life-saving interventions, and high-acuity stabilization. This emergency department serves adults and pediatrics with a steady flow of 200+ patients per day, including heavy trauma stabilization and a complex mix of mental health, homelessness, substance use, and alcohol-related presentations.

You’ll bring 2+ years of ED RN experience and be ready for core emergency skills such as IV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and working with critical care drips. The role also involves experience with time-sensitive therapies, including TNK/TPA administration, plus conscious sedation. You’ll use EPIC for documentation and Alaris IV pumps, with Philips monitors and Omnicell med dispensing.

Shifts are 12-hour days with an every-other weekend rotation and no call required. Expect a team-supported unit culture with CNA support, a receptionist, and a charge nurse—plus the possibility of floating within the region as needed.

Expect comfortable, mild-to-warm days with occasional humidity and a mix of sunshine and passing showers. Evenings often feel cooler than afternoons, making layering helpful for time outside between shifts.
