Job Description:

Travel RN role providing break relief and supplemental day-shift staffing across multiple hospital nursing departments, including Emergency and Medical Surgical/Swing Bed and Skilled Nursing. In this position, you will independently implement the nursing process and support safe, effective care throughout selected/assigned units—then be ready to pivot as assignments are delegated by the Nurse House Supervisor (or as you independently go to a department where you’re trained and competent).

You’ll be supporting day-to-day workflows by covering breaks for RNs and assisting with real-time staffing needs. Expect care responsibilities across a broad patient age range (0–120 years), with direction varying by the unit and patient mix. The assignment stands out for its multi-department coverage—one traveler shift may mean Emergency support, while another may involve Medical Surgical/Swing Bed or Skilled Nursing coverage. (Think: variety, not monotony—just keep your focus and documentation steady.)
