Job Description:

Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) on a 26-week travel contract at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. This engaging role places you on the Respiratory Therapy floor, where you'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, providing critical respiratory care to a diverse patient population. Your responsibilities will include managing ventilators such as Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, and other advanced equipment within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Expect to serve both adult and pediatric patients across various acute and critical care settings, including NICU, PICU, and the ED. The unit operates with a flexible staff of 14-16 RRTs, and you'll be part of a team that covers the entire facility with a focus on quality care amidst a 36% vacancy rate. The role requires at least 3 years of experience, current BLS certification, and preferably ACLS and NRP. Flexibility and excellent communication will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment, supporting a variety of critical cases in a high-energy hospital setting.
