Job Description:

Join a specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team as a MICU Registered Nurse focused on patients with complex multi-system failures such as sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ decline. This role offers a chance to work in a recently expanded ICU with a 28-bed capacity split across two units, providing exposure to diverse critical conditions. Your primary responsibilities include managing a patient ratio of 1:2 during 12-hour daytime shifts, with the possibility of extended 36 or 48-hour shifts. This assignment emphasizes collaboration within a high-acuity environment, requiring adherence to UVAs float policy and demonstrating proficiency with Epic electronic health records. Enjoy the stability of a 13-week contract with scheduled weekends and holidays off, though back-to-back weekends are not permitted. Ideal for experienced ICU nurses eager for a challenging and rewarding contract in a vibrant hospital setting.
