Job Description:

This traveling contract offers a critical care RN the opportunity to work in a high-acuity CVICU setting within a prominent Level II Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI. As a vital member of the ICU team, you'll monitor invasive lines such as Swan Ganz and A-lines, manage complex cardiac medications, and interpret cardiac rhythms, all while utilizing EPIC electronic health records and advanced cardiac monitoring equipment. The role involves 12-hour night shifts on a 6-week rotating schedule, giving you a chance to immerse yourself in challenging cases like post-op CABG, TAVR, valve repairs, heart transplants, and thoracic surgeries. The environment is supportive with a dedicated intensivist staff, 24/7 ancillary support, and a well-structured orientation program. Experience with CV surgical procedures and EPIC is preferred, and prior ICU experience is required. Notably, travelers are welcomed, provided they meet the minimum skill and experience criteria, allowing you to bring fresh perspectives to this specialized unit.
