Job Description:

Join the Aspirus Wausau Short Stay Unit as a travel RN and experience a hands-on role in this 8-bed observation unit dedicated to patients with conditions like anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and post-surgical care. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, float across inpatient units including IMC and CTU, and handle a variety of patient cases requiring strong interpretation skills, including reading EKGs and managing drips such as Cardiac Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin. This assignment offers guaranteed hours, a 36-hour weekly commitment, and a chance to sharpen your adaptability in a fast-paced environment while providing direct patient support during pre and post-op phases, with average stays up to 48 hours. The unit’s high turnover means you'll be constantly engaged in a range of clinical activities that challenge your expertise and resilience.
