Job Description:

Join an esteemed Level I trauma acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Urology and Nephrology. This 13-week contract offers a structured schedule of 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15, providing an engaging opportunity to work with an average daily census of 23 patients on a 25-bed unit. In this role, you'll manage complex conditions such as renal failure, perform pre/post-hemodialysis care, and utilize telemetry for cardiac monitoring. The assignment provides plenty of scope to apply your expertise in IV therapy, medication administration—including heparin—and emergency response, all within a supportive, magnet-designated facility. You'll float within scope to other medical-surgical units and may experience a flexible block schedule, making this an excellent fit for clinicians eager for variety and challenge.
