Job Description:

Join a busy Labor and Delivery unit in Jacksonville, North Carolina, as a Registered Nurse specializing in obstetrics. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing direct care in a 10-bed unit. This assignment offers an engaging chance to manage a fluctuating patient load, with ratios varying from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on labor stages. Your role involves assessing patients, administering medications, following provider orders, documenting care, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. No call is required, but floating to other units may be necessary. This contractual position is ideal for nurses with at least one year of clinical experience in a similar setting, with required certifications including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and CPI. Experience with Meditech is preferred. Candidates must hold a North Carolina or compact state RN license. The weekly schedule totals approximately 48 hours over 13 weeks, with a gross weekly pay of around $2,648.
