Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you in a Medical ICU (ICCU) setting in Grass Valley, CA, working 12-hour night shifts. You will be responsible for providing skilled nursing support for patients with critical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and GI bleeding. The role involves interpreting EKG strips, managing ventilated patients, and collaborating closely with hospitalists and intensivists. Unique to this assignment is the opportunity to work in a specialized unit with swing beds and a diverse array of medical cases, offering a comprehensive ICU experience. Self-scheduling and block shifts are not available; schedules are planned four weeks in advance with opportunities for extra shifts, giving you flexibility within a structured framework. Prior to start, completing a Dysrhythmia exam via Relias is required.
