Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Level I Trauma teaching hospital as a PACU Registered Nurse, where you'll be instrumental in post-anesthesia recovery procedures. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a top-tier facility with inpatient, telemetry, and pre/post-cath lab experience. Your daily routine will involve managing patients in the PACU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, floating within the PACU and holding areas for inpatient PCU-equivalent care. Expect to handle diverse cases including trauma, post-IR, and post-Pre/Post Cath lab procedures. The shift is a 4x12-hour schedule running from 11:00 through 23:30, providing a balanced work week while demanding dedication during overnight call shifts once per month. This role requires at least 2 years of specialized trauma and telemetry experience, along with current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted, and pending licenses are welcome. Guaranteed weekly hours are 36, with the facility allowed to call off up to three days per schedule. COVID vaccination is optional, but documentation or declination is required.
