Job Description:

This PACU Registered Nurse position offers a 13-week contract in Albuquerque, NM, with 12-hour day shifts spanning from 09:00 to 21:30. The role involves engaging in pre- and post-catheterization and IR procedures, with a focus on inpatient recovery in a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital. You will float within the PACU, working in the holding area with patient ratios of 1:2 and occasionally 1:3-5 in the holding space. Prior experience at a Level 1 trauma center and in telemetry is essential, along with current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Expect to participate in overnight on-call shifts once or twice a month, and at least one weekend shift per month. Travelers should be prepared for occasional call, flexible scheduling, and floating to meet the department’s needs. Be part of a vibrant team caring for a diverse patient population in a facility with 554 beds, where Cerner charting is utilized. This assignment provides ample opportunity to sharpen your trauma and telemetry skills in an environment that values adaptability and clinical excellence. There are no local candidates within 100 miles eligible, and out-of-state clinicians with pending licenses are welcome to apply.
