Job Description:

Join the Pre-Op team at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for a 13-week travel RN contract. You will be working within the bustling Pre-Op Holding and ASU unit, which features 9 beds dedicated to pre-surgical assessments and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. Your day shift from 7AM to 7PM involves assisting with Phase 2 recoveries for urology, GYN, and SDS patients, along with pre-op procedures, outpatient infusions, and diagnostics such as EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions. This role emphasizes patient interaction, so a friendly demeanor and strong communication are essential. You’ll navigate Meditech electronic health records, help support pre-op staff, and be part of a well-staffed unit that values teamwork and experience. The unit’s advanced equipment includes Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler, and bladder scanners, offering a contemporary work environment that leverages technology. The assignment offers a chance to gain diverse clinical knowledge in a vibrant hospital setting, all while working 36 hours each week on a consistent 12-hour day schedule.
