Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you as the primary surgical assistant in the cardiovascular operating room at Lutheran Hospital. You will work four days a week, ten hours per day, assisting in complex cardiac procedures such as bypass and cannulation, handling tissues, managing exposure, and maintaining hemostasis. Your role is vital for the smooth flow of surgeries, and you will be expected to anticipate the surgeon's needs while ensuring a sterile environment. This assignment offers the chance to gain specialized cardiovascular experience in a supportive hospital setting, with opportunities to assist in room turnovers and support surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.
