Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in the bustling labor and delivery unit at a hospital in Santa Maria, California. You'll work 12-hour day and night shifts, circulating during C-sections and supporting high-risk deliveries, including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, insulin-dependent diabetics, and substance abuse cases. The unit features 14 triage beds, 28 postpartum beds, and handles approximately 250 births each month. Your role will involve collaborating with OB techs, assisting with high-acuity cases, and floating to postpartum as needed. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP is required, along with specific C-section circulating experience. Expect a varied patient mix, with the opportunity to support high-risk pregnancies and complex deliveries, making each shift engaging and meaningful.
