Job Description:

This ICU nursing position offers an engaging opportunity in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will be responsible for managing critically ill patients with a wide range of complex diagnoses, including cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and trauma cases. The role requires familiarity with ventilator management, titratable drips, and advanced ICU protocols. Nurses will work 12-hour day shifts over 13 weeks, providing direct patient care in a 42-bed ICU that operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, with additional support from PCA staff. This assignment is ideal for experienced critical care nurses comfortable with vent management, sedation, and titrating multiple IV drips. Be prepared to coordinate with a dedicated team including intensivists, RTs, and nurse aides, as well as perform various bedside procedures and monitor patient responses closely.
