Job Description:

Join the cardiovascular progressive care team at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, for a 13-week assignment that offers a hands-on experience with complex cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts on a unit specializing in post-op cardiac surgeries like CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, thoracic lung procedures, AAA repairs, and fem-pop bypass surgeries. You'll be actively involved in epidural management, chest tube care, IV pump management, and cardiac medication administration, utilizing Cerner EMR. This unit supports about 40 beds with a staff of approximately 100 healthcare professionals. Candidates should have recent stepdown and telemetry experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a unique chance to expand critical skills in a specialized cardiac setting while being part of a collaborative team.
