Job Description:

Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role involves providing specialized nursing support in a busy labor and delivery unit during overnight 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. You'll manage a nurse-patient ratio of 1:1 to 2 for laboring patients and 1:8 for postpartum and couplets, ensuring that both mother and baby receive attentive care. Expect to be on-call for two shifts every six weeks, with the opportunity to develop your skills in a high-stakes, rewarding environment. Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, AWHONN-Intermediate, NRP, and NIHSS are required, but can be obtained after acceptance. This assignment offers a lively schedule with weekend shifts every other weekend or two weekends a month, but no holiday time off requests will be accommodated for major holidays.
