Job Description:

This 16-week travel contract is centered on providing specialized care on a busy surgical Oncology and PCU unit. As a registered nurse, you'll be working 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with a focus on patients diagnosed with diverse cancers such as breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive surgeries. The role involves administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and managing oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, and insulin or heparin drips. Expect a fast-paced environment where maintaining infection prevention protocols and patient safety are paramount. The position requires at least 2 years of acute care nursing experience, including 1 year in PCU, and certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Flexibility is key, as staff may float within their scope and occasionally work day or evening shifts based on unit needs.
