Job Description:

This 13-week contract invites experienced Registered Nurses to join the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) team on a 12-hour day shift schedule. You'll be immersing yourself in a fast-paced environment managing complex post-surgical, trauma, and multisystem patients, including those with open abdomen wounds and endovascular conditions. The role involves titrating drips such as pressors, sedation, and paralytics, with access to ventilator support and telemonitoring systems. You'll collaborate closely with charge nurses, house supervisors, and intensivists, gaining valuable exposure to Level I trauma care. The assignment offers a unique opportunity to refine ICU skills in a civilian hospital setting, while enjoying a manageable weekly commitment of 36 hours, with weekends and holidays rotating to ensure work-life balance.
